Joyce (Fabbeo) English

Joyce has been living in North Carolina since 1991 and loves every warm sun-filled day. She has been married fourteen years to her husband Jeff and has two children and two grandchildren. Since moving to Raleigh, she has served on the board of her homeowners association and is a volunteer with the Literacy Council of Raleigh.

Joyce loves antiques and has a houseful of them. She has traveled to Europe four times visiting Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, and Sicily, always seeking remote areas. Through researching her family heritage, she found a second family in Sicily that was unknown to everyone, and she has visited an aunt and many cousins there. Even though they did not speak each other's language, they were able to communicate through gestures and a translation book.

Both her daughters and grandchildren have also relocated to North Carolina, giving Joyce enjoyment participating in their activities. Plus, her best friend since kindergarten, Janet Meyers, also lives in the state and they are once again able to "play" together and relive old memories.
