Biography for

Karen (Wood) Schultz Jeske

Karen received her B.S. in Business Education and M.S. in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati and Akron University respectively. She has worked for 25 years as a Business Educator and CPA and for 20 years as a Financial Consultant at Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. She is still working as a Certified Financial Planner.

Karen has been married for 32 years to her husband, Alan; her first spouse, Ken Schultz, passed away in 1975. She had two children, one of whom is deceased, and six grandchildren.

She serves as secretary and newspaper editor for the Lake Mohawk Board of Directors; is Chairman of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Finance Committee; is secretary-treasurer and a 25-year member of the Malvern Rotary; is on the St. Luke's Assisted Living Steering Committee; is a Habitat for Humanity volunteer; and is an advisor for four chapters of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

When she finds time for leisure activities, Karen enjoys boating, waterskiing, swimming, and travel. She has gone to Germany, Austria, and the Dominican Republic. She is also a MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) 15-year member. In ballroom dancing competitions she has won first place in the state swing competition. She was also the first female member of the Malvern Rotary. Karen has been in sports car competitions with her Triumph Spitfire and has her Sports Car Club of America National Timing and Scoring License.
